LECHWE

Lechwe is a 59’6 Traditional Stern Tug tug-style narrowboat built in 2010 by Tyler/Wilson from the Shearline range. A JD3 Beta Marine diesel engine provides the propulsion.

On entry from the stern into a converted traditional boatman cabin there is ample storage, seating on the starboard side of the vessel which could be used as a small single sleeping arrangement, and adequate headroom.

The onboard engine room follows this. A JD3 Beta Marine diesel engine is in the centre of the room. Complete with Sterling Pro Combi S 2500w inverter dual battery charger, MPPT solar controller, consumer unit, x6 lead acid batteries, and x1 starter battery each only 3 years old.

Next is a shower room fitted with a large stand-up shower, vanity sink, and unit. The toilet is a Thetford cassette WC with x2 spare cassettes onboard.

The galley has tiled work surfaces and a laminate floor. Fitted with a sink, spacious cupboards for storage, a fridge, freezer, microwave, and a diesel-powered oven & grill with a separate hob. There is no gas fitted to this boat making her a very affordable option for liveaboards.

Onwards into the saloon with a diesel burner Bubble stove, and a 12” LCD hanging TV. There is seating available in the saloon included in the purchase, but there is approximately 10ft of space for someone to bring their seating arrangement onboard.

Finally, under the tug deck and into the bedroom with a double bed that can be pulled out from beneath the deck and positioned in the saloon very easily, this can be demonstrated on viewing the boat. The tug deck also acts as additional storage and is a unique space that has been cleverly converted to house the bed, for this boat at least.

Lechwe has been beautifully cared for by her owners and benefitted from a new paint job in 2022. The hull was grit blasted in 2023 and blacked using twin-pack epoxy. There is an existing boat safety certificate onboard, and she is ready for delivery immediately.
