SHIRLEY

Shirley is a 66’ Semi-traditional Stern Narrowboat built in 2008 by Nick Thorpe Boatbuilding Co. She was fitted out by The Woodshed and completed in 2009. An Isuzu 55HP Diesel engine provides the propulsion. She also benefits from a 75KGS bow thruster. 

The interior offers 5 berths and is finished with Ash panelling and oak block parquet flooring. 

The galley has granite work surfaces and a Welsh slate floor fitted with a sink, spacious cupboards for storage, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, and the main feature a Heritage Range Cooker (diesel with programmable central heating). This provides cooking, heating, and hot water and together with the greater-than-usual 12mm baseplate is also a key point of ballast on the boat.

There is a convenient toilet/cloakroom on the starboard side of the boat next to the entry, useful for days spent cruising. This is a Thetford Cassette WC. 

Onwards into the saloon with an L-shaped dinette that can be made into a double bed, a multi-fuel stove, and a 32” Sony LCD TV with ROKU, Wi-Fi and Caro satellite dish.

Following this is a single bedroom which doubles as an office or games room. A great space to shut yourself away and work from home.

Next is a shower/wet room fitted with a vanity sink and unit. The toilet is a Vacuflush toilet to remote cassette system with a porcelain bowl.

Finally, onto the main bedroom with two large wardrobes and a large cross bed with cupboards on each side.

Shirley has been cared for by her owners and is best described as luxurious making her a great live aboard or luxury retreat to the next lucky owner.
